Pets contribute enormously to our quality of life. They are faithful, devoted companions and they can ease our stress.

Pets are allowed throughout The Cedars campus. Dogs and cats may live with their owners in The Village (Independent Living) and The Courts (Assisted Living). Cats may live with their owners in the Health Care Center. Staff and family members bring dogs for regular visits with the residents.

Pets often can reach through to our dementia residents when no one else is able to do. As one staff member said, "Sometimes you just see the light bulb go on in their heads when they're petting a cat."
